Leopard is neutral

Thursday, 13 September 2018

Hello and welcome to my blog.

I know at least one person will cringe and declare my floral and leopard print combo a "faux pas"

Leopard print is neutral like black, white etc....stop rolling your eyes,it is true.

Besides Leopard print being a neutral, mixed prints/pattern play has been a thing for a while now and it has come to stay....embrace it

So feel free to pair your leopard print with any other print or pattern......have fun with mixing and matching your pieces

You can wear anything (I am not an advocate of near nudity/nudity though), no rules in fashion/style.....make your own rules

Wear whatever you like with grace, confidence and style....life is too short to do otherwise

The top and skirt are very old pieces, I have had them for years.....I shop my closet steady,no shame in my game

Do you take risks when it comes to what you wear?
Please don't be a stranger, lets gist in the comment section.

When Leopard and Snake Fell in love

Wednesday, 29 August 2018

I read on who what wear that animal prints are currently having a moment....
I wonder who decides these things.....I wonder how these things work.

Perhaps the person/people have loads of animal print fabrics or designs they need to dispose off and just tries to get us all to be in a frenzy and just shop....lol....kidding

But really do these designers meet and agree on what should be the rage or how do they get to utilize similar prints or come up with similar designs......please educate me.

Don't get me wrong, I love animal prints.....but I just wonder who these soothsayers are....lol

Animal prints for me are classic prints which I always have worn and always will wear so I don't get the frenzy.
The good thing is I will be shopping my closet as I have loads of pieces made with animal prints.

I decided to set the animal print trend ball rolling by 'marrying' this snake print belt from glamorous to this leopard print sheer dress from pieces and I love the outcome = match made in style heaven. I rocked the outfit to church on a Sunday.

Are you an animal print lover?
Are you going to jump on this trend? I will be happy to hear from you in the comment section.

That time I did not honour a prophet from my home town: Stripes on Stripes

Friday, 10 August 2018

You know how Jesus in Mark 6:4 said “A prophet is without honor only in his hometown, among his relatives, and in his own household.” I am as guilty as Jesus's relatives.....I committed the same "crime".

My sister is a makeup artist who has been asking to "beat" my face for the longest time ("longest time"? is that even correct english?)  but I always had excuses and reasons I wasn't available....

On this fateful Saturday I decided to be available.....And did she beat the face to perfection?! I think she did a really great job as she had to work with my brow as it is since it is only God I can allow to carve my brow.

I shot three looks with the make up.....you can imagine how may looks I would have shot this long summer break if I had taken her seriously early enough.

But as they say "better late than never" so I am going to milk her expertise the one weekend she has before school resumes.

So stay tuned for more blog posts with a perfect face beat.

In this post I am wearing a stripe T-shirt dress from Monki and since I love to be extra decided to play with patterns as evidenced by the stripe mules and slatted clutch from Asos ...see link below to shop for the dress and clutch and also book Kibana's glam for your face beat.....(click here to see another stripe on stripe post)

Pattern Play with blue and white stripe

Tuesday, 31 July 2018

Hello and welcome to the blog.

In this post, I am wearing a stripe set that I did not buy as a set.

I bought the skirt at a different place and time from the top.

I love finding and combining pieces in my closet that work together as not only does it save time, it helps to pull a fabulous fit together without really stressing.

I did a similar post of pieces that just fell into place as a set click here.

I styled it with a purse from Stradivarius, shoes from Dune London and glasses from Debargain.
I can't wait to style the skirt and top with other pieces from my closet.

What do you think....will you wear something like this or you will pass?
