How to Mix Prints with Princess Audu

Wednesday, 14 November 2018
Hello beautiful people, welcome to my blog

I started blogging in May and kinda felt like an only child and orphan. I couldn't reach out to any blogger for fear of being snubbed.
You can imagine my joy when Princess Audu who I have been following for years followed me on Instagram, engages with my post, visits, leaves comments on my blog and after a while asked that we do a collaboration....of course I quickly and excitedly accepted and this happened.
We decided to mix prints and our colours even aligned....
Mixing prints can be tricky and may not for the faint hearted....Don't do it if you can't own and wear it with confidence....that is the only trick I know....rocking mixed prints with confidence and owning it is key for me as I am a daring 'prints mixer'....see this post click here
I just wear it and own it like a boss....even if people around me don't get it
But in this post I kept it simple in black and white and just two prints

Are you a daring fashionista? How far can you go with prints?

Peaching with ankara details

Sunday, 11 November 2018
Hello beautiful people, welcome to my blog.
I got this dress from Symdey couture, I previously styled another dress from the brand here in Little black dress garnished with Ankara
I love the ankara detailing on the sleeves and mid section......
The ankara detail on the mid section is actually an obi belt
I can use the obi belt as a head band or use it as a belt on other know I love improvising
I was comfortable wearing the dress even though it is snug and a bit short....
Symdey Couture is a ready to wear brand that stocks timeless made in Nigeria outfits in plain and vibrant prints at affordable prices. They ship worldwide via DHL so distance is not a barrier.

Retro Meets Modern

Sunday, 4 November 2018
Hello Beautiful people, welcome to my blog.
It is almost party season (end of the year party etc) and I thought to share retro styles ..... get inspired so you are ready if invited to a retro themed event or you want to go retro for the fun of it.

Most times you find people trying to shop for a themed event,I think  there is usually no need as you have pieces that can work...just make the right hair and use the right accessories with what you already own.

The "kiko" hair I made already gives that vibe and made the rest easy. (I think it is called thread or rubber hair in english?)
Incorporate can even make something like this with ankara....flare pants and a jacket or another style for the will be really nice....I think I will try it....stay tuned.
My favorite is the iro and buba (oleku)....I look like I just stepped out of a 70s magazine.
It also reminds me of my grandma....her wrapper was never evenly
Which is your favourite?
How did I do?

P.S. Look 7 will be up on Saturday.
