Dressed in Dresses

Friday, 1 March 2019

Hello beautiful people, welcome to my blog.
Happy new month, may March be good to us all.  Exceedingly, abundantly much more than we can ask or ever imagine is what God will do for us. Blessings that will be too obvious we can't share the testimony as anonymous is what God will bestow upon us.....let the church say Amen!

If you are a repeat blog reader, you will know I love my ankara and I can wear outfits made with ankara everyday of the week.....when Sandiez Collection reached out to me, how could I say no to these two gorgeous outfits.

I love these two dresses because of the style which can be worn for different activities or occassions depending on the shoe style and other accessories, vibrant prints and breathable style and fabric.

I am not a lover of snug outfits so these were right up my alley.

Enjoy the photos....contact information of Sandiez is below.

This dress has three pockets......that sold me.

Sandiez collection is a fashion label that stocks trendy and stylish afrocentric pieces at affordable rates. They also do bespoke tailoring.
You can reach them on instagram @sandiezcollection or via their phone number 08102304416.

Why is Death not a dress rehearsal? + 3 work outfits

Friday, 15 February 2019

Happy new year.....yes happy new year because this is my first post of 2019.
I didn't plan for it to be so ..... 2018 actually ended on a very high note, not crack or cocaine high but happy high and I entered 2019 with big dreams, great plans, high expectations  and great energy only for life to happen.

Related: Counting my 2018 blogging blessings

I lost my Father on the 5th of January and life has not been the same.....nothing prepares you for the finality of death, absolutely nothing gets you ready.I wish death had a dress rehearsal and not the main act just like that......maybe one can be a bit prepared. It still feels unreal that my Father is 6 feet under.....Shame on Adam, Eve and that creepy crawly thing called snake, they brought all this upon us..........I am not sure the vacuum will ever get filled but people say it gets better with time so I am patiently waiting to see if it does.

My father's death just reiterated what I have always known which is to LIVE.....Live life fully.....do whatever sets your soul on fire and without apologies too, the world will adjust.........eventually and if they don't? So be it, just LIVE.

I am back to regular programme and just thought to share these three work outfits.  My instagram followers seem to love the check blazer and burgundy pleated skirt look better based on the likes the photo got.

How to make sequin work for work

Wednesday, 13 February 2019

Hello beautiful people, welcome to my blog.

When people hear, see or buy sequin, they think festivities like Christmas, Valentine or big occasions and red carpet events but I decided to make it work for work with the way I styled my sequin top.

Blazers make everything work for work so I decided to style the sequin top with a long line blazer and went monotone with the whole look to tone the "sequiness" of the top down and make it work as an office outfit.

I got the top from Lola's Vintage Store.....They are a vintage store that stock amazing vintage and vintage inspired pieces....you should totally check them out.I will leave their phone number below.

What do you think of this look? Can you wear something like this to work?
